If you have ever thought about buying items for Pet Simulator 99 and stopped because you were not sure whether you would actually get them, that is a reasonable instinct. Plenty of people have been burned. This guide covers what to check before you hand over money to any seller, how delivery works, and the warning signs worth walking away from.

The one rule that matters most

No legitimate seller ever needs your Roblox password.

Not to “verify” your account. Not to “deliver faster”. Not to “check your inventory”. There is no delivery method that requires it, because Roblox already provides two ways to move items between players without anyone logging into anyone else’s account.

A seller only needs your username — the public name anyone can see. If you are ever asked for a password, a one-time code, or to sign in through a link someone sends you, stop. That is an account takeover attempt, not a sale.

How delivery actually works

There are two normal methods, and knowing them makes it much easier to spot someone improvising.

1. In-game mailbox

Most games we supply have a mailbox system that lets players send items to each other. The seller sends the items to your username, and they are waiting in your mailbox next time you log in. This is the usual route for gems and smaller orders, and it typically completes within a couple of minutes.

2. In-game trade

Some items cannot go through the mailbox at all — Titanics are the common example. Very large orders are also impractical to send that way. In those cases the seller arranges a direct trade, usually in a private server, and hands the items over in person.

Both methods happen entirely inside the game, using features the game itself provides. Neither involves your login details.

What to check before you buy anywhere

• Is there a real company behind it? A registered business has a legal identity, an address and obligations. An anonymous storefront has none of those, and no way for you to pursue anything if it goes wrong.
• Who handles the payment? If a site processes card details itself, your details are only as safe as that site. If it uses an established processor, the seller never sees your card details at all.
• Are the reviews somewhere the seller cannot edit them? Testimonials on a seller’s own page prove nothing. Reviews on an independent platform are considerably harder to fake.
• Can you talk to someone before paying? A seller willing to answer questions in advance is a much better sign than one who only appears after the money has moved.
• Does the price make sense? A price far below everyone else usually means the item does not exist, or the account supplying it will not survive the week.

Warning signs

• Any request for your password, an authentication code, or a login through a link.
• Pressure to pay by bank transfer, gift cards or crypto — methods chosen because they are hard to reverse.
• Contact only through a private message, with no site and no company details.
• Countdown timers and “one left” urgency on items that are digital and unlimited.
• No stated method of delivery. If a seller cannot explain how you will receive the item, that is because they have not thought about it.
